SK Tuesdays : #SKDailyQuote

Hi Girlies..

So I've decided Im going to start talking about the SK daily quotes I post on our twitter everyday. For the record I pick & choose each and every one. It's important you know that everything Sex Kitten is authentic. We don't hire marketing firms to do all our social media & posts, mostly it's just me! & I post what you guys need to hear. Things that will motivate & inspire you. Things that will remind you bright & early in the morning to be who you are & fuck what other people say.

Today's quote is quite interesting:

You see, when you don't know who you are, you kinda leech onto others. You merge into them or become a follower - following the people who DO know who they are and aren't afraid to show it. You may have a ''really pretty'' best friend who treats you shitty. You may idolize people who don't deserve your praise. You may look at magazines & try to replicate a look, but look in the mirror and feel hopeless. This always happens when you're trying to be someone you're not.

& it's because you're not supposed to replicate anything. You're supposed to do YOU.

It's fine to look at magazines, check out ''trends'', eye over what the celebrities are wearing, etc.. But you should always take what you like & make it your own. Be a trendsetter! Rock a maxi skirt with a snap back - mix different styles! Rock a miniskirt with a bralette - Who cares if it's too much skin for the prudes? Clash floral print shorts with an aztec crop top - Be interesting! Be different.

Bottom line is, don't adopt anything from anyone. You were born with your own sense of fashion - discover it. Take what you like & make it yours. That's what being a Sex Kitten is all about. We laugh in the face of 'flawless fashion' (aka BORING!), we roll our eyes at 'trends' & we definitely do not let magazines & celebs tell us how WE should dress!!! We dress according to how we feel, our body shapes, what looks good on us & most importantly what we LOVE! Fashion is supposed to be exciting & fun! Find pieces from different shops & different styles that you absolutely HAVE to have & mix them up together. You have the fashion world at your fingertips with the internet nowadays. Now put your imagination to work.

Ah and just so you know, I was having the shittiest day ever yesterday - happens to the best of us when nothing seems to be going our way!! - but then I saw this & instantly snapped out of it, hence it being yesterday's Daily Quote.
