Yesterday I introduced the Nawti Neon LookBook, which features our 'Attention Whore' neon mini skirts collection, so today I thought I'd talk about WHY I decided to call them such an aggressive name.

I get a lot of comments about this.. Some love it, some hate it. That's just the way it is.. And also the way I intended it.

There is a reason I launched a clothing line called Sex Kitten Couture. It is not random. I called it Sex Kitten Couture because I like a bit of controversy. I knew the clothes & the style would be sexy, bright, over the top.. The kind of clothing you make a statement & scene with. I knew it would be too much for some people, and the name reflects that perfectly. It is not for everybody. You either love it, or hate it.

The expression 'Sex Kitten' is not 'Sex Lioness' - It is Sex KITTEN for a reason. It defines a young woman who asserts herself - including her sexuality - in a fearless, yet playful, coy way. Now, I decided everything about SK would be authentic, it would stay true to the essence of the brand - that includes being cheeky & sometimes outrageous. So when I made the neon mini skirts collection, it was a no brainer to call them 'Attention Whore' - they are mini skirts (not for the shy), and they are bright, BRIGHT neon (not for the faint hearted).

Let's just be honest, you wouldn't wear them if you weren't at least a LITTLE BIT of an attention whore ;) & that's completely fine. If you're not comfortable with who you are, you'll never find your place in this world. It's ok to be confident, to flaunt what you have, it's ok to like to be seen.

Remember this is all play on words & playful; the neon skirts are called Attention Whore because they're just so bright.. Those of you who own them know it! So the question is -

If you can't rock a neon mini skirt at your age, when will you?
